Trish Burr Online Guidance Class in Needle Painting

You can purchase the pattern at Trish Burr's Etsy store

Or you can sign up for the Level One class for beginners on this page

If this one becomes available again I will let you know.

Happy Stitching!
Update:The classes were lots of fun! Trish's comments on students work is so encouraging. Love her style and attention to detail. she encourages you to look at a real leaf, petal, feather and study how it grows to determine stitch direction for a realistic effect.

Note: I did line this one with natural muslin which isn't necessary. I used Kona  Quilter's Cotton for the the top and I was not pleased as it was too rough on the DMC cotton floss. On the next bird I used the pre-printed cotton provided in the kit, which was much gentler on the floss. When I have all my miniatures finished I will mount and frame them.

  2. Just beautiful! Are you using all 6 strands of floss when you do this?

    1. Hi Jackie, I used one strand of floss throughout. This is normal for most needle painting. Sometimes, on larger projects we use two strands-you can use two different complimentary colors that way. Or two types of thread like in the roses-a strand of wool and one strand of cotton floss.
