Singer Featherweight and Quilting

This little gal got some new tools yesterday, a scant quarter inch foot, a stitch in the ditch foot for top stitching near a seam, a quarter inch hemmer, and some new bobbins. All very nice quality from the Singer Featherweight Shop in Idaho. 25 hours from the time I place an order to my mail box! That is a record accomplishment! Thank you!

Fun fabrics from Keepsake Quilting (vintage fabric now).

Just Quilting with my New to me Featherweight

Starting a new quilt with a new to me 1960 222K Singer Featherweight sewing machine. It's a challenge for me with bad eyesight and arthritic hands, but a welcome challenge! This beauty is a gift from my husband bought from our wonderful friends at the Singer Featherweight Shop in Kamiah, Id.

She pieces pretty nicely even without a special foot!

Every part is metal, precise and smooth. Unlike my 1984 Singer which has metal, nylon, and plastic all playing together and not smooth at all. Many times, older is better.
